Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires up to 6 additional years of hospital based surgical and anesthesia training. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, our doctors manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Alamo Maxillofacial Surgical Associates, PA practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from cosmetic facial surgery to corrective jaw surgery, surgical management of obstructive sleep apnea and wisdom tooth removal. We can also diagnose and treat oral pathology, facial pain and TMJ disorders, facial injuries and trauma and perform a full range of dental implant procedures.
Alamo Maxillofacial Surgical Associates, P.A. is the result of a merger of two existing medical practices in the San Antonio area. In June of 1998, Robert P. Johnson, DDS, MSD, Steven B. Buckley, DDS, MD and B.D. Tiner, DDS, MD merged practices with James E. Franco, DDS, MD and James W. Rominger, DDS, MD and in November of 2006, Wendell A. Edgin, DDS joined our group.
The result of this merger and continued growth has been the formation of a comprehensive oral and maxillofacial care center with increased availability and accessibility to our patients. We currently have three full-time office locations to service San Antonio and the surrounding hill country. Appointments are available at each location Monday-Friday from 8:00am until 3:00pm and our telephones are answered by our staff every day between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm.
